How the 2027 Vietnam Series Works

The Vietnam Series is a fixed-date hosted event, not a standard holiday package with a tournament label added. Each region follows the same comfortable rhythm: arrival and welcome dinner on Sunday, golf on Monday and Tuesday, a flexible Wednesday, golf on Thursday and Friday, then departure or connection on Saturday. This keeps weekend green-fee pressure out of the main playing schedule and gives the group time to recover between rounds.

Every regional week includes six nights in five-star accommodation, daily breakfast, four rounds with green fees, caddies and shared carts, private airport and golf transfers, a welcome dinner, a farewell presentation dinner, competition management, prizes and an ASEAN LINKS player pack. The event is hosted on the ground by ASEAN LINKS, giving golfers one point of contact for the playing schedule, transfers, scoring and group logistics.

The regions run consecutively. Golfers can book one week, combine two or continue through all three. Regional connection packages include the domestic economy flight, a connecting hotel night, breakfast, transfers and the specified checked-baggage and golf-bag allowance. This removes the awkward part of combining destinations: arranging flights, clubs and hotel timing independently.

North Vietnam: Hanoi and Mountain Golf

The North week is based in Hanoi and opens at Sky Lake, a large-scale layout west of the city with elevation, water and long views. BRG Kings Island follows, bringing a different resort setting and a strong strategic test. After Wednesday’s choice of rest, Ha Long Bay or optional extra golf, the schedule continues at Long Bien and finishes at Thanh Lanh.

Thanh Lanh is the ideal final venue because the mountain setting gives the week a clear sense of progression. The North is best for golfers who want city energy, cooler-season conditions and a broader travel experience around the golf. An optional Hanoi food tour can be added after the opening round, while Ha Long Bay gives non-golfers—and golfers wanting a day away from the course—a recognisable Vietnam experience.

Central Vietnam: Da Nang, Hoi An and Lăng Cô

Central Vietnam is the most efficient golf region in the country. The week stays at Pullman Danang Beach Resort and uses four contrasting courses without changing hotels. The Norman Course at Legend Danang opens the event with exposed coastal strategy. Laguna Golf Lăng Cô follows, combining mountain, lagoon and coastline holes in one Sir Nick Faldo design.

Wednesday can be used for rest, Hoi An or an optional round at Hoiana Shores. The included competition resumes at Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An before the finale at Ba Na Hills. Finishing at Ba Na creates a strong final-day atmosphere: the elevation changes, mountain backdrop and cooler air feel different from the coastal rounds earlier in the week.

This region suits first-time Vietnam visitors, mixed golfer and non-golfer groups, and anyone who wants minimal packing. Hoi An dining, beach time and short resort transfers sit naturally around the golf rather than competing with it.

South Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City and Hồ Tràm

The South week deliberately uses two bases. The first half stays at New World Saigon Hotel for golf at Long Thanh and Royal Long An, with optional city dining and the Cu Chi Tunnels available around the schedule. The event then moves to InterContinental Grand Hồ Tràm for two rounds at The Bluffs.

Playing The Bluffs twice is intentional. Greg Norman’s coastal design changes with the wind, and a second round rewards players who learn the lines, elevation and exposed green complexes the first time. Finishing at the resort also avoids returning to the city after the final round and gives the presentation dinner a proper destination setting.

What the Hosted Series Adds to a Standard Package

The year-round LINKS Central holiday remains available from US$1,645 per person with four-star hotels, or US$1,950 with five-star hotels. Each Series region starts at the same US$1,950 Early Bird price with five-star hotels, and adds fixed competition dates, event hosting, scoring, presentations, prizes, selected meals, player packs and coordinated group movements.

The distinction matters. A normal holiday is planned around one private group. A hosted event needs tee blocks, pairings, result management, presentation timing, shared transfers and contingency decisions to work for the whole field. The Series price covers that operating layer as well as the golf and accommodation.

Play One, Combine Two or Complete the Series

Choose one region if you want a straightforward six-night golf week. Combine North and Central for the broadest contrast without the full twenty-night commitment. Central and South suits golfers who prefer beaches, resorts and warmer conditions. The complete Series delivers twelve rounds across three very different golf environments and includes both regional connections.

Single rooms are quoted on request. Early Bird pricing is US$1,950 for one region, US$4,100 for two and US$6,250 for all three. Standard pricing is US$2,050, US$4,300 and US$6,550 respectively. Combined prices include the required connecting hotel nights, breakfasts, domestic flights and transfers; no additional connection fee is added. Prices remain subject to availability and the published booking conditions. Courses, hotels and order of play may change for maintenance, weather or operational reasons, with comparable replacements selected where required.
