Da Nang Conference Venues for Golf Incentive Trips
Da Nang has become one of Vietnam's main conference and incentive destinations, with a large convention centre on the beach, resort ballrooms and championship golf within about an hour. Here is how the venues compare and how to build a programme around them.
Ariyana Convention Centre
Ariyana Convention Centre (107 Vo Nguyen Giap) is an oceanfront convention and exhibition centre that opened in 2017. It lists 4,390 square metres of meeting space across three floors, with the Ariyana Ballroom seating up to 3,000 for conferences and 1,500 for gala dinners. Combined with Furama Resort Danang next door, it forms a larger complex with around 20 breakout rooms and beachfront lawns for outdoor events.
Resort venues
For smaller groups, the beachfront resorts make more sense. Hyatt Regency Danang, for example, lists a ballroom for up to 400 delegates and beachfront venues for up to 700, along with tennis, padel and a nine-hole mini golf course for informal team events. Da Nang's published conference facilities range from 50 to 3,000 people, so most group sizes are covered.
Structuring the programme
- Hold business sessions in the morning and golf in the afternoon, or alternate meeting days and golf days.
- Choose one main resort for the whole group to keep transfers simple.
- Run the golf day as a team event, such as an ambrose or stableford, so players of every standard can take part.
- Plan a separate programme for partners and non-golfers.
- Finish with a gala dinner on the beach or a private dinner in Hoi An.
Where the golf fits
The central courses are close: Legend Danang, Montgomerie Links and Hoiana Shores are all within about an hour of the beachfront hotels, with Ba Na Hills and Laguna Lang Co further out. Our corporate golf retreat guide covers the golf side in more detail, and our golf events guide covers running a tournament.
Common questions
How far ahead should we book?
For large groups, six to twelve months ahead secures the venue, the hotel block and the tee times together. Avoid Vietnamese public holidays, when courses and resorts are busiest.
Can ASEAN LINKS arrange the golf and the venue together?
We can arrange the golf, transfers and accommodation around your venue booking. Tell us your dates, numbers and format and we will put together a plan.
