Da Nang Nightlife After Golf
Da Nang's nights are relaxed rather than wild, which suits golfers. Nightlife sits in three areas: the Han River in the city centre, the An Thuong bar streets behind My Khe Beach, and the beachfront itself.
The Han River: rooftops and the Dragon Bridge
The west bank of the Han River in Hai Chau is the city's showpiece at night: a lit promenade along Bach Dang Street, terrace bars and the bridges glowing in changing colours. Sky36, on top of the Novotel Danang Premier Han River at 36 Bach Dang, is the best-known rooftop, open from 6pm until late.
The Dragon Bridge fire and water show normally runs at 9pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, with extra shows on some public holidays. It is free and lasts only a few minutes, so be in position early. A river cruise is a relaxed way to see it; some evening cruises time their route for the show.
An Thuong: the bar streets
An Thuong is a grid of numbered streets about 300 metres inland from My Khe Beach, walkable end to end in about 15 minutes. It is where the city's expats and visitors drink: 7 Bridges Brewing for craft beer, Section 30 on An Thuong 30 for live music and a late kitchen, The Mad Den for Guinness and live sport, and Simple Man Pub for live music. Most bars open late afternoon and close around 1am midweek, later at weekends.
For golf groups staying near the beach, it is the easy choice: a short walk from most hotels, cold beer, football on the screens and a good chance of finding the rugby or the AFL.
The beachfront
The beach clubs along Vo Nguyen Giap are at their best for sunset drinks rather than late nights; many wind down around 10pm. See our Da Nang beach clubs guide for names and timings.
Pacing it on a golf trip
- Tee times in central Vietnam are usually early, to beat the heat. Keep the late nights for the evening before a rest day.
- Friday to Sunday are the liveliest nights, and the only nights for the Dragon Bridge show.
- Grab cars are cheap and plentiful between the river, An Thuong and the beach hotels.
- Typical mid-2026 prices: local beer 25,000–50,000 VND, craft pints 80,000–150,000 VND, cocktails 100,000–250,000 VND.
Common questions
Is Da Nang a party town?
Not in the way Bangkok or Saigon are. It has a good bar scene and a handful of late clubs, but most visitors are here for the beach, the food and the golf.
Where can we watch the footy or the cricket?
The sports bars in An Thuong and along the river show major Australian sport. Check the bar's schedule on the day, as time zones put many games in the afternoon.
