The Tour

Seven days that do justice to Vietnam

Hoi An sits at the epicentre of Vietnam's golf coast. Within an hour of the Ancient Town you have four courses that regularly feature in Asia's best lists. This tour puts all of them in one week, with the cultural experience to match.

We start with a welcome dinner on arrival night and finish with a farewell dinner after the final round at BRG Norman Course, watching the last light fall over the South China Sea. In between, the itinerary moves at a pace that gives you time to actually explore the region.

This tour suits golf clubs, social clubs, corporate groups and individual travellers. Non-golfers are genuinely welcome and have a full programme of cultural activities while the golfers play. Maximum group size is kept small so everyone gets proper attention from the tour host.

Day 4
Hoi An Ancient Town · My Son Sanctuary
Wednesday, 12 August

A rest day with real content. This morning, your ASEAN Links host leads the group to My Son Sanctuary, a cluster of Hindu temples built by the Cham civilisation between the 4th and 14th centuries, set in a jungle valley 40 kilometres from Hoi An. A genuinely extraordinary site that few visitors outside organised tours reach properly.

This evening, the guided Ancient Town walk. Your host takes you through 15th-century merchant houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, silk lantern workshops and the riverside eating streets. Non-golfers who skipped the morning golf days can join this one too.

Day 6
BRG Norman Course · Final Round · Farewell Dinner
Friday, 14 August

The final round on Vietnam's Golf Coast. Transfer to the BRG Golf Resort for Round 4 on the Greg Norman-designed championship course, which sweeps along the South China Sea coastline with the water visible from nearly every hole. Bold routing, exposed dune land, and the kind of finish hole that demands a proper swing under pressure. English-speaking caddie and motorised cart included.

After the round, your farewell dinner is held at the BRG clubhouse overlooking the coast. Drinks are flowing, the sun is going down over the sea, and the group has a week of stories to trade. This is the moment everyone brings up when they get home.

BRG Norman Course Designed by Greg Norman and sitting alongside the Jack Nicklaus Course at BRG Da Nang Golf Resort. The Norman Course is the longer and more exposed of the two, with several holes playing directly beside the South China Sea. Widely regarded as one of the finest coastal layouts in Asia.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need a handicap certificate?
Some courses require a handicap for insurance purposes. Generally a current Golf Australia or equivalent handicap is recommended. If you play regularly as a social golfer without a formal handicap, contact us and we can advise based on the specific courses booked.
Can I bring a non-golfer?
Absolutely. Non-golfers join all dinners, transfers and cultural activities. On golf days, we organise local tours, cooking classes, spa days and other activities so they are never stuck waiting. Priced at $1,999pp twin share.
What is the single supplement?
An additional $500pp if you want your own room throughout. If you're travelling solo and happy to share with another solo traveller, let us know and we'll try to match you at no extra cost.
Can our golf club book the whole tour?
Yes, and we actively encourage it. Golf clubs, social clubs, corporate groups and company incentive trips all work well on this format. Contact us for group pricing and we can tailor the experience accordingly.
What is the Premium Tour Kit Bag?
An optional upgrade ($149-$199) with a limited edition "Hoi An Links & Lanterns 2026" premium polo and matching cap, personalised ball markers with the tour crest, divot repair tool, leather luggage tag and travel pouch. Numbers are strictly limited.
Can I combine with the Da Nang tour?
Yes. The Da Nang: Dragon & Dunes tour runs immediately after (Aug 16-22), using four completely different courses with zero repetition. Booking both saves $399. The transfer between Hoi An and Da Nang on Day 7/8 is included in the combo price.
What is the weather like in August?
August is in central Vietnam's dry season for this region. Expect warm, sunny days in the high 20s to low 30s Celsius with low humidity. The months from October to January bring more rain to this part of Vietnam, making August one of the best months for golf.
