PGA of Australia · Golf Industry Professionals

Your guide knows the game.
Because they've played it for a living.

Every ASEAN Links departure is led by a PGA Professional with 20+ years in the golf industry. Not a travel host who plays on weekends - someone who can watch you hit three balls and know exactly what you're doing wrong. That's the difference.

The Difference It Makes

Why a PGA guide beats a standard tour host - every time.

A standard tour host knows the hotels and the transfer times. A PGA Professional knows the courses - the wind patterns, the local rules, the greens that look flat but aren't, and the 16th at Montgomerie that'll cost you three shots if you haven't been warned.

They also have relationships. Relationships mean preferred tee times, access to practice facilities, and the occasional round at a course that isn't on the public booking system. That's 20+ years of industry currency - and it shows on every day of the tour.

Every ASEAN Links tour is built around courses our guides would play on their own time. That's the only filter that matters.

Standard Tour Host

  • Can't read your swing or the course
  • Uses aggregator course lists
  • No industry access or relationships

Twenty-plus years in the game - as a player, a teacher, and an industry professional - means the courses we visit aren't chosen from a brochure. They're chosen because they're genuinely worth your time and your money.

Southeast Asia's golf scene has changed dramatically in the last decade. What was once a novelty is now world-class - Montgomerie Links, Ba Na Hills, Laguna Lăng Cô - courses that would hold their own against anything in Europe or the States. We've played them all. We know which ones are worth the flight.

On tour, you'll get honest advice on your game if you want it, silence if you don't, and the confidence that every tee time, every transfer, and every bottle of post-round beer has been thought through before you arrived.

"Cambodia is the most underrated golf destination in Asia. Angkor Golf Resort at sunrise - no traffic, no crowds, ancient temple ruins beyond the treeline - is unlike anything else on the circuit."

SE Asia Experience

A decade of professional golf experience across Southeast Asia means knowing which courses are genuinely exceptional and which ones just look good in photos. The ASEAN Links rotation is built on that knowledge.

Cambodia is a particular specialty - Angkor Golf Resort and Vattanac in Phnom Penh are two of the most distinctive rounds available anywhere in Asia. The cultural depth that surrounds them - Angkor Wat, the temples, the street food at 6pm - turns a golf trip into something you'll actually remember for the right reasons.

On the Thailand side, the courses near Phuket and Chiang Mai have matured significantly. Blue Canyon is world-class. The goal is to sequence the itinerary so you're playing the right course at the right time of day, in the right part of the trip.

Why It Matters

"We're not a travel agency that decided to add golf.
We're golf people who decided to build tours."

That distinction matters on every day of the trip. You're not getting a tour manager with a clipboard - you're getting someone who understands the game, knows these courses personally, and has the industry relationships to make the experience better than you could have arranged yourself.

20+ years in the game. Max 12 golfers per departure. Every course personally vetted. That's what you're booking when you book ASEAN Links.
